HOME Program ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) planning and information

The City of Fitchburg, as lead entity in the Fitchburg/Leominster HOME Consortium will receive $1,738,722 in HOME ARP (American Rescue Plan) funding. This funding is a little different than normal HOME Program funds. It can be used for developing affordable housing, tenant based rental assistance, supportive services, and/or development of non-congregate shelter, (but not operating costs), all serving Qualifying Populations. Qualifying Populations are specifically; homeless, at risk of homelessness as defined by 24 CFR 91.5, or fleeing domestic violence, sexual assault or human trafficking.

HOME ARP- ACTION PLAN

The City of Fitchburg has completed its Fitchburg-Leominster Consortium proposed HOME-ARP Action Plan. The plan will be submitted as an amendment to the Year 47 Action Plan. The complete Plan may be reviewed by contacting the Department of Community Development & Planning. Public comments on the proposed Year 47 Action Plan will be accepted for 14 days from the date of this notice, or through March 23rd, 2023 whichever is later. Send written comments to Community Development & Panning, Fitchburg City Hall, 718 Boulder Drive, Fitchburg, MA 01420 or to CommDev@FitchburgMA.gov. A Community Input meeting will be held on Thursday, March 16th, 2023 at 5:00 PM at City Hall’s West Meeting Room located on the first floor of 718 Main St. Fitchburg.
