The Nancy Project

About The Nancy Project

The Nancy Project is a pop-up shop for knitted mittens, scarves, and other items made by members in our community and is held annually in December.

See the great work your neighbors have done to create these beautiful handmade items for all your holiday shopping needs while raising funds to help support the Friends of the Fitchburg Public Library.

The Nancy Project was started in memory of Nancy Keenan O'Neil, who was active in The Friends of the Fitchburg Public Library and an avid knitter. In her will, Mrs. O'Neil asked that donations be given to the library in lieu of flowers. Originally, it was knitted and crocheted craft work; now it’s all kinds of crafts.

All proceeds of the annual sale benefit the Fitchburg Public Library.
