Fitchburg, MA – Mayor Stephen L. DiNatale today announced the appointment of Natalia Oliver as his new chief of staff. With over 10 years of experience in office administration and community relations, Oliver joined the Mayor’s Office on November 29, 2021.

Oliver most recently served as a Technical Writer and Manufacturing Support Administrator at AIS, an office furniture manufacturer in Leominster. During her time at AIS, Oliver supported the product design engineering team and the manufacturing engineering group with day-to-day operations, employee training and communications. Additionally, she worked with the inside sales and marketing teams on planning and executing corporate events and giving factory tours to customers and dignitaries. A native of Uruguay, Oliver is bilingual and served as a Spanish translator for manufacturing and engineering documents as well as employee and customer-facing newsletters and marketing materials. Oliver co-led AIS’s corporate social responsibility program and coordinated local philanthropic initiatives and company-sponsored social events. While at AIS, Oliver volunteered her time as a mentor for kindergarten students as part of the United Way of North Central Massachusetts Partnering for Literacy Program.

“Natalia’s administrative experience combined with her community relations skills, positive outlook and outgoing personality will be an asset to the city of Fitchburg. With over a quarter of Fitchburg’s population as Hispanic or Latino, Natalia’s bilingual ability will be a tremendous addition to our office” said DiNatale.  Oliver attended the Public University in Montevideo, Uruguay. She is currently enrolled in the dual language business program at Mount Wachusett Community College. Oliver is also a committee member of the Young Professionals of North Central Chamber of Commerce. Oliver enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
