Build a Better World and visit the Fitchburg Public Library this summer! Learn about the world around you and enjoy hands-on building experiences! Young patrons will have the opportunity to build a variety of things this summer: rockets, a giant erector set, a birdhouse, a pinhole projector, small polymer animals, a nature chime, a puppet, and paper airplanes.
Our educational programs will teach children about gardening, chickens, the solar eclipse, wildlife, print making, NEADS service dogs, theater improv, and writing memoirs.
WHO CAN DO THIS?
Children ages 0 to 18 are invited to sign up for our Summer Reading Programs:
Early Literacy Program for babies and toddlers (ages 0-4)
Read and Bead program for children and teens. (PreK - Grade 12) Minimum of age 4 for this program.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
Sign up online or visit the Fitchburg Public Library.
Decide on a reading goal and register online or at the Library.
Collect your Brag Tag and a necklace or key chain.
Record your minutes
Turn your minutes into beads for your chain! Log your minutes with the library either online or by visiting. Each bead represents different numbers of minutes. The more you read, the more beads you earn and the more chances you have to win our raffle prizes.
* Please note that due to small pieces included in this program (small beads), households with younger children (ages 0-2) should use caution with their prizes.
