The Division is overseen by the Superintendent of Streets and the Board of Park Commissioners
Municipal Parks are available to book for special events, parties, ball games and more. During reservations the Parks are still open to the public, however the permittee is given priority on the use of specific facilities such as ball fields, basketball courts, or multipurpose fields. Parks can be closed for private events by special permission from the Board of Park Commissioners. All park rentals are subject to approval by the Board of Park Commissioners and administered by the Fitchburg Recreation Department. See Visit Our Parks for a list of Parks and Playground.
